THURSDAY NOVEMBER 29, 2001
I was at the doctor today so I couldn’t do real recaps. Below is just a brief summary for history sake. Alex/Bo: Bo was at Asa’s cabin trying to figure out why Asa was so insistent on him taking a good look around. Bo finds a bottle of pills under the sofa cushion. Alex arrives dressed in black leather and in handcuffs accompanied by a police officer (Bo gets the officer to remove the cuffs and Alex says, “Thanks I would have enjoyed that under other circumstances” :-) She is there to help prove Max and Gabs killed Asa. Bo says they are not partners and Alex reminds him that she first came to town as a FAB agent to help him find what happened to his wife Sara. Bo says, “And we know how quickly that turned bad.” Alex keeps pushing to get Bo to let her help because she loved Asa. Bo sends the pills he found to the lab by the officer. Alex flirts with Bo (he of the sparkling blue eyes: “It won’t be the first time you followed in your father’s footsteps”). She tells him as a federal agent she had special training regular police officers do not receive such as how to use all of your assets to get the information you want. Bo wants to know if she is planning to seduce Max. She says they prefer to call it “penetrating interrogations.” Bo says it would never work and sends her off with a check to get her a plan ticket and a nice place to stay somewhere far away. She takes the check saying she’ll use it to help in building a monument to Asa. She leaves Bo her card: “Alex Olanoff, Artistic Interpretations :-).” RJ/Keri: Hank tells Rae that RJ now knows he is Keri’s father. Rae tells him that he can’t hide his head in the sand and think that RJ will just wait around for confirmation from Keri’s mother. She counsels Hank to tell Keri himself. RJ rushes to see Keri who is cool and wary of him because of what she’s heard about his criminal behavior from Hank and Sam. RJ tells her that he served his time in prison and after that no one has been able to pin anything on him. Doesn’t that count for something? She is not sure that encouraging a relationship with RJ is a good thing given her job as a professor at the University. RJ tells her he knew her mother and finally states that he is her father. Max/Gabby: Gabby tells Max how devastated she has been believing that he didn’t care what happened to her. “God, help me but I love you.” Max hugs her and says, “God, help us both. I love you, too.” He and Gabby hit the sack but Max is uncomfortable making love to Gabs in front of Asa’s urn. They hear something and quickly jump out of bed. After they leave the bedroom, Alex appears dressed in a black cat suit and carrying a flashlight and muttering to herself. Blair/Starr: Starr called Vicki after locking Blair in the closet and Vicki arrives to see what is going on. Starr gives Vicki the key to the closet and Blair gets out and boy is she pissed at the Junior Princess. Starr shouts to Vicki that Blair was about to take her away. Vicki asks Starr to go upstairs so she can talk to her mother. Starr agrees. She tells Vicki about Todd’s call and why she feels she has to run to keep him from taking Starr. Vicki admits that Todd can do some awful things when he is angry but tells her that Todd loves her and if was going to do something he would have done it by now. He was probably just off somewhere alone working it out for himself. Maybe the surprise is a good one, she says, but Blair will never know unless she stays and faces him. Blair admits that she loves Todd with her entire soul. Starr, who has been listening outside of the door, yells that means we’re staying, right? Todd/Buck Todd pleads with the officers to understand that the baby is his son and all he wants is to take the baby home to his mother. “His mother is devastated. All I want is to get my kid and bring him back home where he belongs.” Buck arrives and says that it is not true. The baby is his son and he had him taken away so Todd cannot get to him. Todd demands that Buck take a DNA test but Buck refuses: Why should I? I like being a father. Todd asks Buck if he ever thought that the appearance of his wife with the baby was a little too convenient. He tells Buck she bought the baby from David Vickers and that the baby, “…is my son. And Blair’s. We made him.” Buck leaves and Todd gets desperate. He calls over the officer on duty and pretends to have a disorder and he does not have his medicine (Todd is stuttering, holding his throat and foaming at the mouth.). While the guard is standing there Todd lifts his keys. When the guard returns Todd is trying to open the lock and the officer deadpans: It probably would be easier with these keys. Those are my house keys. Todd is stymied but Buck returns and tells him that he ran into his wife and when he confronted her she came clean especially when she heard the name David Vickers. Buck admits that the baby is Todd’s son and tells the officer to release Todd. Buck tells Todd he can go but Todd says, “Not without my son.” Buck says there is a slight problem. Since he had the baby taken somewhere Todd could never find him and now he doesn’t know how to get in touch with the men. Todd freaks and Buck says he’ll know where to find the baby once the men call. Todd is having none of it and demands that Buck find his kid. Buck leaves. Todd says, “Hold on, Blair. I’m going to make it right.” Buck returns with the baby saying they got lucky because the morons ran out of gas at the edge of town. Buck gives the baby to Todd: “Here’s you boy, Manning” (Touching scene). Buck says he liked being a father and Todd says, “Well, we’ll try to get your monkey back.”
